an award winning composer of chamber music with university honors and published and recorded compositions, I am a jazz musician.. I've played with, among others, woody shaw, jon hendricks, and mike nock.. I'm no longer a classic cover tune or mainstream jazz artist, rather a jazz musician who believes in world music as trane did.. seeking to blend many genres into a fresh and innovative style of jazz..

interesting question indeed.. i just joined from work.. had to wait to get home to post my songs.. i guess they would best describe what i do.. but it looks like we have very few mb here so i'll have to make 128kb versions to load more than a couple.. in words i'd say my innovation is by combining different genres.. my favorite example(if i have room for it here lol) would by my song FLASHIN.. i call that on other sites metal funk jazz.. the beat and power chords make it sound metal.. rhythmically the multi-layered vocals give it funky syncopation and the lines and harmonies are jazz (except for a brief wailing rock solo in one of the middle sections.. outro lines are my favorite parts.. thanks for asking msore.. i've got 99 songs currently on soundclick if you'd like to hear any of those..
