Sincerity. Sense of humour.

I have played acoustic guitar from age 13, starting with folk, gospel and country, and progressing on to classical guitar for many years. I bought an Epiphone Emperor "Joe Pass"some years ago and loved the sound so much I am now on my 3rd jazz guitar, a beautiful Hofner New President. I play for my own pleasure and recently joined Jimmy Bruno's Guitar Institute online to see if I could improve my improvisational skills.

I love the old standards of the 30's and 40's like "Georgia", "Stardust", "they can't take that away from me". Autumn leaves" etc.My favourite guitarists are Joe Pass, Herb Ellis, Tal Farlow, Barney Kessel and Martin Taylor; and as far as vocalists are concerned, I am totally smitten by the voice of Jane Monheit.I also still love classical guitar, particularly Julian Bream and David Russell playing the music of Tarrega, Sor, Giuliani, Carulli and Rodrigo.
