Adding photos to your profile
To add photos to your profile, click on 'My Account, then 'Submit Items' then 'Upload Picture'. Fill out the fields, selecting a photo from your computer and then hit submit. You can later edit image titles/text etc by clicking on 'My Items', then 'Manage Pictures'.

Important stuff to know: photos can't violate JazzMatrix Terms & Conditions (even if you keep them private). In other words, no nudity, violence, racism or obscenity. Photos must be .jpg and no more than 5mb and 600 pixels wide! You can't post photos that belong to someone else, especially if they have commercial value.

Delete Profile
Go to 'My Account", then 'settings', then 'account settings' and look for a blue link at the top of the page that says 'Cancel Account'.

Change your profile picture
Click on 'my account', then 'Settings', then 'Profile Picture'.

Uploading Music
There is a 20mb limit on all standard free accounts. You can see how much space you are currently using by clicking on 'My Account".

To upload a song, make sure it is in .mp3 format. Click on 'My Account", then "Submit Items', then 'Create Album". Songs must be uploaded and referenced with an album you create otherwise they cannot be found in the public music browse section.

Once you have created an album, then go to the song upload area and upload your song.

Occasionally you might delete a song (in order to create more space) and want to upload another song. From time to time you may get an error that says something like 'you have exceeded your file limit'. If you know this is not the case, the problem is usually that the JazzMatrix site still has your recently deleted song in its cache. A good idea is to reboot your computer, wait a few minutes and upload the song again. Check to see your file space amount in 'My Account'.

Adding songs to your profile from the music section.
You can add music to your profile player from the music browse section. Simply click on the 'Music' tab in the top menu. Then you can click on an alphabet letter to search an artist of your choice. Click on the album link and then look for the link underneath the music player that says 'add to your profile'. If you find a link that says 'add to favorites', this will do just that and not add the song to your profile music player.

Delete songs from profile
If you have added songs from the music browse section, you can delete these songs in your music player by going to 'My Account', then 'my items' then 'edit music playlist'. Bare in mind that this feature will only delete songs from your playlist, (not from the server) if you have personally uploaded a song to the jazzmatrix server and to your music player, to delete that song (perhaps to create more file space) you would need to go to 'my items', then 'manage music'. You can then delete a file from there..

How do I get my music on JazzMatrix Radio?
All the DJs presenting weekly shows are looking for hot new tracks to spin. Each individual DJ has 100% control to program whatever they want and promoting artists within the JazzMatrix site is our priority. However, your music needs to be high quality and over time the competition to get adds will increase. If you have what it takes we urge you to contact each DJ on the site (do not send an email on the radio page!). Go to the radio page and look up the links to all the DJs and contact them personally. They all have their own submission protocol.
