Though playing lots of instruments, I don't play one of them professionally. Guitar is the only one I try to improve at the moment - and a little the skills on the piano. I had a long break from active playing and started practicing again, when my daughter of 2 years started to like some of the fakebook standards I used to play for her, when bringing her to bed.
Besides playing around a little, practicing or amusing the kids, I use my guitar and my piano mainly for songwriting.
Since my Fostex's gone (old man, if you read this, I like it back :) ), I don 't owe any recording devices any more. Plan to get me some hd-recording computer, if I can spare some money again.

Sublte and not so ublte horror films, SF, and everything that does not lack professionality, has an interesting story to tell. Examples are Hitchcock, Star Wars, Alien, L.A. crash, I'm legend, Caspar, Lion King, Nemo, Monk, Dr. House, Thirteenth Floor, Matrix. Really hate films like Thirteen Ghosts, that only seem to waste celluloid to waste even more gruesome stuff from the special effects chamber, without telling anything.

playing guitar and piano, repairing things at our home or toys for the kids, hearing music and reading, sometimes programming a little (doing this all day anyway)
