I've been playing music since I'm a kid! I started as a bass player and we got to play stuff like Yes, Genesis, Rush ... and Top 40 for gigs!
I got my diploma at College St-Laurent, Montreal, Canada in a jazz program in bass but, meanwhile, I started to play classical guitar as second instrument and as a mean for composing music.
I played in some modern jazz and new wave bands at that time but I decided that I needed more! So I went to a contemporary music program at University of Montreal. This was fantastic but I felt that the public (market) was too limited for my taste and that would isolate me more rather than bring me more contacts.
So, from then on I was concentrating in creating my own fusion music for guitar.
For me, fusion is something like getting influences from all over the world and dilute it as a color palette into our own music. And this palette is filtered through our personnality, of course! It's all about creation and imrovisation!
There's no fixed bundary to expression!
