BLu7 is a jazz quintet based in Las Vegas, NV. Formed in 2007 by jazz trumpeter James Barela, BLu7's music is an eclectic blend of modern jazz, world music, and contemporary beats. Their debut CD, Cultural Instigator, was released in June 2008 and has been receiving excellent reviews. Their music is being played in over 15 countries on traditional, satellite, and internet radio. Cultural Instigator is being hailed as an achievement in versatility, which is what BLu7 is all about.
